"fr" => "Creative work requires effective collaboration (Rouse, 2020), however, it is unclear how traditional forms of collaboration apply when individuals co-create with artificial intelligence (AI). Collaborating with AI is nuanced and complex. As AI becomes more prevalent in organizations, it is important to understand how employees and AI can work together on creative work. This inductive study of fashion designers and stylists reveals the dynamic ways in which creatives first lean in to learn, disconnect to protect their work and creative identity, and then reconcile ways to reconnect again for co-existence. My theory of employee-AI augmented collaboration shows how the iterative process of multiple disconnections and reconnections enables and improves collaboration between employees and AI."
