The choice of a BPR methodology is constrained by factors such as culture, cost, experience, tools, etc. However, this choice represents a critical success factor and depends largely on the process to be redesigned. The aim of this paper is to propose a mapping between the processes to be re-designed and BPR methodologies. This mapping is based on proximity measures between, on the one hand, BPR methodologies and their underlying reengineering steps and, on the other hand, reengineering steps and their relative importance in the processes.
