The emergence of project team organization, as a way of structuring companies invites a redefinition of organizational knowledge. Based on synthesis of the existing definitions of organizational knowledge, this paper puts forward a typology of the various forms assumed by organizational knowledge, integrating a distinction between functional knowledge and project knowledge.
