This chapter examines expatriates’ key expectations. We identified 6 expectations, namely (1) logistical help, (2) emotional support, (3) cross-cultural training, (4) compensation, (5) career and (6) repatriation. The expectations have to be dealt with by organizations aiming at responsible human resource management for employees experiencing international assignments.
