Abstract
To analyze the strengths of their existing staff, companies can either introduce competence analysis schemes or put a strong emphasis on potential attribution procedures. These two schemes or procedures refer to conflicting logics. A new light is put on potential judgments as a way to prepare managers for future career moves.
