Abstract
This article first presents a literature review showing the diverse, and often critical, conceptions of social responsibility held by accounting educators. Taking an auto-ethnographic approach, the article then provides a detailed account of an extensive teaching experience in management control that seeks to put one of these conceptions into practice.
