Biography

Patrice Poncet, MBA, ESSEC Business School, Master in Private Law, University of Paris Panthéon-Assas, and Ph.D. in Finance, Northwestern University (Kellogg School of Management), was Professor of Finance at the University of Paris-Panthéon-Sorbonne and is currently Distinguished Professor of Finance at ESSEC Business School. He was a visiting Professor at New York University (Stern School of Business), member of the Board of the Parisian Stock Option Market, member of the Scientific Committee of the Research Foundation of the Bank of France and of the Scientific Committee of INSEE’s Research Center, and financial expert at the Versailles Court of Appeal. Currently a consultant to financial institutions and Honorary President of the French Finance Association, he is also a member of AMF’s Scientific Committee and serves in the board of several academic journals. He has co-authored twelve books and has published more than sixty scientific or professional papers. He holds the Palmes Académiques Distinction.
