"fr" => "L'étude s'efforce de mettre en évidence le rôle que les coûts indirects du travail pourraient jouer dans l'explication de la durée du travail formée spontanément dans une économie décentralisée. Le premier stade du texte considère la production comme prédéterminée par une contrainte de débouchés. Le modèle est ensuite généralisé en considérant le niveau d'activité des firmes comme endogène. L'analyse révèle la formation systématique d'un conflit portant sur l'horaire de travail et en élucide les déterminants. Il est également possible dans ce cadre de représenter les effets des réductions légales de l'horaire, préconisées comme instrument de lutte contre le chômage."

"fr" => "L'intérêt de notre recherche est inspiré par la question suivante : comment les différents magasins de la même chaîne de franchise réagissent-ils les uns par rapport aux autres lorsque les externalités sur la demande existent dans la chaîne ? Nous analysons principalement la relation horizontale entre franchisés en mettant l'accent sur leurs interactions liées à la qualité de service. Partant d'un simple modèle mathématique avec deux magasins, nous présentons la forme analytique de la réaction optimale sur laquelle sont basées les interactions de ces deux magasins. L'équilibre de ce modèle montre que la qualité de service optimale de ces magasins augmente au lieurde baisser en présence des externalités de la demande liées aux particularités de la chaîne de la franchise."

We analyze mainly the horizontal relationship between franchisees with focus on their interactions on service quality. The two types of workers are perfect complements in the production of labor services. They differ with respect to their hour effectiveness, which entails longer working hours for the qualified. A not too strong legal constraint on working time would affect only qualified workers. In this case, as the cost of one unit of labor services increases, the demand for less qualified workers goes down. An undifferentiated policy of working time reduction may harm low qualified workers, which are also the most exposed to unemployment."

"fr" => "L'étude s'efforce de mettre en évidence le rôle que les coûts indirects du travail pourraient jouer dans l'explication de la durée du travail qui se formerait spontanément dans une économie décentralisée. Le premier stade du texte considère la production comme prédéterminée par une contrainte de débouchés. Le niveau d'activité des firmes est ensuite considéré comme endogène. L'étude révèle la formation d'un conflit systématique portant sur l'horaire de travail. Dans ce cadre d'analyse, il est possible de représenter les effets des réductions légales de l'horaire de travail préconisées comme instrument de lutte contre le chômage. Sur des bases très différentes, les résultats tendent à coïncider avec ceux d'autres approches : la réduction de la durée du travail peut avoir sur l'emploi des effets décevants, voire pervers."

A simple interpretation of the systematic conflict about working time is proposed. In this framework, the effects of the legal limitation of working time, sometimes intended to reduce unemployment, can be examined. La théorie du comportement tarifaire du monopsone a reçu beaucoup moins d'attention. Ce texte examine le comportement tarifaire du monopsone qui s'efforce d'obtenir une quantité déterminée d'un bien auprès d'un ensemble de fournisseurs potentiels, lorsque la tarification binomiale non-discriminante est permise. Il apparaît que l'extraction des profits des fournisseurs peut être incomplète et laisser un avantage à certains fournisseurs privilégiés. La production est répartie en général de manière inefficiente et il existe une incitation à l'obsorption des fournisseurs."

"fr" => "Prenant en considération l’accroissement des coûts de transport subis par les travailleurs, cet article propose d’étudier la formation des contrats de travail conçus par un employeur s’adressant à deux populations de collaborateurs, populations qui diffèrent par la distance séparant leur domicile et le lieu de production. L’employeur cherche à en obtenir un volume d’heures prédéterminé. L’état de la législation du travail explique que des contrats distincts sont possibles mais soumis au libre choix des travailleurs, la discrimination explicite étant exclue. Le modèle précise l’effet des différences de coût et de durée du transport sur les rémunérations et les horaires choisis par l’employeur, et sur les effectifs demandés des deux catégories."
