This article describes the detailed process of realigning the human resources (HR) function of the largest building construction materials company – Lafarge. While most researchers agree that HR strategy should be related to the overall business strategy, few organizations have done it as a clear, and well-understood strategy. In that context, the experience of the largest cement manufacturer that developed, integrated and implemented their HR strategy in line with their overall business strategy is described.
