Abstract
This article will look at the substantive and procedural legal questions that arise from bringing ECT claims before the courts of Hungary. It will first present the ECT’s place in Hungary’s domestic legal order (I), followed by a discussion on State liability regimes applicable in Hungary generally and on State liability under the ECT specifically (II). The article will then give a brief overview of the Hungarian civil justice system, including the duration and cost of the proceedings, the available judicial remedies, and the domestic and international enforcement of court judgments
