Abstract
Maintaining competitive neutrality on markets where private and publics firms compete is a necessary complement to competions law enforcement. On such markets, competition without competitive neutrality will result in misallocation of resouces and inefficiencies. Competitive neutrality is dealt with very differently across OECD countries. The article examines these different approaches and a number of competition authority’s decisions or court’s judgements dealing with compeition issues in markets where private and public firms compete.
