Abstract
Business ethics is an ambiguous notion. The Anglo-Saxon understanding appears to prevail in the business world. This is a pragmatic approach which is not well understood by the public, especially because it is different from our traditional morality. This ambiguity leads to confusion and to a loss of cultural, moral and legal points of reference. It is the responsibility of company management to understand these different notions and thus act to avoid misunderstandings.
