From Espoused Values to Action: A Commentary on ‘Are We Making a Better World with ICTs?’

This is a commentary calling for an emphasis on ethical issues in the study of information systems. It also suggests greater use of action research as we practice our research ideas in organizational situations. It calls for a reorientation and redefinition of the discipline of information systems as the study of the impacts of ICT on organizations and society including their ethical implications.
