This article deals about the management of a specific category of professionals, faculty of higher education institutions in business. The first section addresses the characteristics of this type of professionals and the specific managerial issues they create. The evolution of their institutional context and the strategic challenges they face are discussed in the second section. Following this, a framework is proposed to analyze the corresponding so-called ?faculty job market?. The conclusion notably focuses on the current difficulties encountered by institutions to develop relevant solutions to these problems.
