Forecasting is the starting point of supply chain management. For people, it is an art, for other, it is a technology, and for other yet, it is a tool. Anyway, for all, it is a problem. In order to learn how to well manage forecasting, one has to be respectful of a certain number of rules, this article is describing. They are dealing with tools, with how to manage people in charge of forecasting or with the way to roll out the whole system of forecasting with its whole set of components.
