Abstract
This brief article summarizes an ongoing research on executive commitment to the firm. Data collected from an international sample of executives indicate that the shift from long term employment security to imployability does not necessarily entail less commitment to the firm. Individuals’ professional orientations and aspirations moderate significantly their reactions to firms’ policies.
