The development of corporate governance principles and investors pressure leads a growing number of firms to use indicators of value creation. This article deals with value creation from two different points of view: from a technical point of view, does MVA differ from the classical NPV criterion? More fundamentally, does the use of these value creation criteria have perverse social effects?
