Abstract
This article argues that the Trump administration’s disclosure of UFO-related documents may have served as a political strategy to divert attention from economic concerns and mobilize voters through conspiracy-driven narratives. Drawing on research into social media behavior, the author contends that interest in UFOs can reinforce broader conspiracy beliefs, potentially influencing public opinion and electoral outcomes. The article warns that such attention-shifting tactics may pose challenges for democratic debate and could be replicated in other countries.
