Biography

Dr. Lars Andraschko is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Information Systems, Data Analytics, and Operations (IDO) at ESSEC Business School. He holds a Ph.D. from the University of Augsburg and was a visiting researcher at Lund University. His research centers on the transformative potential of using digital technologies in advancing sustainability, with a specific focus on how digitalization can and cannot contribute to climate change mitigation. Using a combination of qualitative and quantitative research methods, Dr. Andraschko addresses questions at the intersection of digitalization and sustainability, striving to make meaningful contributions to both academic theory and societal challenges. In his teaching, Dr. Andraschko encourages critical thinking and seeks to help students understand the real-world implications of IT—to manage digitalization and sustainability in business contexts.
