"fr" => "Cet article examine les systèmes d'information dans le contexte du secteur des services médicaux. En particulier il étudie le potentiel de l'initiative de Sécurité sociale du Royaume-Uni dans les systèmes d'information connus comme le Programme national pour TI (NPfIT). Ce programme, qui est le plus grand programme d'investissement informatique dans le monde à l'extérieur du secteur de défense, essaye de fournir des services de santé universels du berceau à la tombe pour des citoyens du Royaume-Uni. L?article suggère que les services de santé et spécifiquement NPfIT, soient différents quand comparé aux demandes conventionnelles dans le secteur public ou privé. D'abord, le nombre important de personnes à contacter pour des demandes de dossiers de santé présente des problèmes particuliers. Plus dramatique, étant au niveau national plutôt que régional ou hospitalier, le domaine d'application se situe sur une échelle beaucoup plus grande. Bien que ceux-ci présentent des défis énormes, la récompense potentielle est passionnante."
"en" => "This paper looks at information systems in the context of the healthcare sector. In particular it examines the potential of the UK National Health Service initiative in information systems known as the National Programme for IT (NPfIT). This programme, which is the largest IT investment programme in the world outside of the defense sector, attempts to provide universal cradle-to-grave healthcare for UK citizens. The paper suggests that healthcare, and specifically NPfIT, is different when compared to conventional applications in the public or private sector. First, the high degree of person-to-person contact in healthcare applications presents particular problems. More dramatic, being at national rather than regional or hospital level, the application domain is of a much greater scale. Although these present huge challenges, the potential payoff is exciting."
