"fr" => "This editorial introduces a conceptual framework for leveraging user-generated content (UGC) in managerial decision-making. It argues that UGC—traditionally defined as publicly accessible, creative, non-professional content—is evolving to include digital traces such as likes, follows, searches and wearables. The authors propose a broadened definition of UGC and outline five research and practice domains: (1) identifying and analyzing UGC sources, (2) mapping UGC across customer decision journeys, (3) developing valid and reliable UGC-based measures, (4) establishing ethical and governance standards for UGC utilization, and (5) applying UGC analytics to sustainability strategy. By summarizing the contributions of five papers in the special issue, the editorial sets an agenda for future work, emphasising opportunities as well as methodological, ethical and validity challenges associated with UGC."
