Après avoir résumé le point de vue traditionnel sur les résultats d’expatriations, nous soutenons que les développements récents dans le domaine suggèrent la nécessité de construire une analyse plus sophistiquée et complexe sur le sujet qui intègre différents points de vue (par exemple, l'organisation, l'expatrié, leurs collègues et leurs familles) et d'autres types d'expériences internationales et d’organisations.
