This paper relates a research process in the field of public consultation in urban planning. This process uses qualitative methodology and methods. The used and built (conceptual, methodological, tactical,…) tools are defined and discussed. This research process is compared to a ‘bricolage’ because it also tries to be strategic, pragmatic and reflexive.
