Abstract
Class actions in the U.S. are often considered to lead to obscure procedures exacting heavy unjustified costs on dependants. This is not always the case as shown by the examples of DRAM, Visa MasterCard and LED in the U.S. In contrast, European consumers do not have much of a recourse when they are victims of anticompetitive practices.
