Abstract
The models of cooperation and social integration of the different forms of specialized professional knowledge are changing deeply within the firm : from the closed, sequential and introverted models of “competence” to the open, concurrent and extraverted models of “cross-functional processes”. This can be attributed to new procedures for collective problem solving, in the context of growing complexity.
