The Dynamics of Organizational Development and Change : How the Past Shapes the Present and Constrains the Future
The paper contains a process oriented theory of organizational change. The framework is supported by the biography of an innovative organization confronted with internal and external pressures for a bureaucratized management system. The paper shows how the leader adapts the organization and maintains innovative management practices.
