      "fr" => "Due to their complex nature and the numerous actors involved, sustainable economic activities in informal settings have yet to be fully understood. So far, they have been largely ignored by organization and management scholars studying sustainability related aspects and their socio-economic and environmental consequences. This chapter broadens the inquiry of sustainability by providing an in-depth understanding of the key characteristics and drivers in informal economic settings that support the development of sustainable business practices. The author discusses the role of key actors at institutional, organizational and individual levels in developing sustainable business models and practices in informal economies. Furthermore, this chapter explores potential avenues for advances in research on sustainability practices in informal economies, on their transferability or integration into formal economies, and on the development of alternative cross-fertilizing approaches and hybrid economic models promoting and supporting the duality of a formal and informal economy."
