Sur la modernisation sociale

Over half a century ago, Colin Clark explained that during the process of economic development of a country, its industrial sector started by increasing relatively to the two other sectors before decreasing relatively to the service sector. According to this view, the French "social modernization" law whose objective is to maintain industrial employment will inevitably lead to a decrease in the competitiveness of firms, their benefits and ultimately the jobs they offer.
