Abstract
This research looks into the innovation and slack ties. The sample contains the 203 public French hospitals during the 1989-1992 period. This study confirms that the level of slack discriminates the innovative organizations from the uninnovative ones. Another result of this study concerns the fact that hospitals low slack endowed invest proportionally more in technical innovations than in organizational ones.
