Abstract
Pierre Bourdieu’s work has been widely used in organizational literature to define practice. However, I argue that using only a single aspect of Bourdieu’s framework weakens its possible contribution because these concepts are completely interrelated. For instance, focusing on the relation between practice and field may conduct to emphasize the forces constraining practice and underestimate the generative and creative part highlighted by the habitus.
