Abstract
Post and pre-manufacturing change the nature of the physical flow and propose a new distribution of the value-added along the supply chain. Illustrated by concrete exemples, this article draws up a typology of the applications of post and pre-manufacturing. It links these concepts with those of standardization, focalization and postponement. An analytical approach proposes a quantitative model.
