Abstract
In the backdrop of the ongoing economic liberalization in India, a multiple-respondent survey of 69 Indian organizations was undertaken to study the impact of changes in re-design mechanisms on firm performance. The results shows that increased changes in mechanisms of uncertainty reduction, differentiation, and integration tend to enhance corporate performance in turbulent environments, while their absence or low usage depresses it.
