Abstract
This paper describes a fuzzy set and object-oriented expert system approach making it possible to model legal systems characterized by incomplete and ambiguous information. This approach enables us to structure uncertain legal knowledge. The fuzzy model described in this paper compares very favorably regarding knowledge representation and solutions generation. An application to a real-world situation is described, analyzed, and discussed.
