Abstract
Decision makers have access to more and more data, that they may visualize and analyze with increasingly user-friendly tools. In this context, self-service business intelligence is gaining popularity. In self-service business intelligence, users accomplish their business intelligence tasks without the help of IT. In the most elaborate form, these tasks include data preparation. Self-service business intelligence requires a new methodology, blending data modeling and preparation. This chapter proposes and illustrates such a methodology, aimed at power users, analysts, or data scientists.
