Abstract
Management and Philosophy may at first seem unrelated. A close look at the history of political philosophy as well as a thorough consideration of current issues on corporate social responsibility, sustainability and ethics reveal a close relationship between these two “ways of life” and thinking. This is all the clearer when one understands “globalization” on the basis of the fundamental notion of “end of history” originally elucidated by European philosophers (Hegel and Kojève). We examine some determinant characteristics of our current global world from a managerial point of view.
