Machiavel : entre pensée du pouvoir et philosophie de la modernité

Breaking with the classical conception of power, the political work of Machiavelli appears as the foundation of the modern political order. But today this order is called into question by the criticism of the contemporary power practices that have been generated by economical and political liberalism. Could a new interpretation of Machiavelli's thought reveal a real philosophy, that would be likely to restore fundamental values without abandoning the premises of modernity ?
