This research point out the link between organizational slack the organizations –hospitals–endow and the capability of these organizations to innovate as well in the technological domain as organisational.The empirical study –relating to 203 French public hospitals over the period 1989-1997– establishes a link between the organisational slack and the innovativity, and between the nature of the slack and the innovativity, and finally, between the organisational slack and the type of innovations implemented.
