Abstract
In this article, we investigate the benefits and risks of service activities outsourcing. Firstly, we performed a qualitative analysis using semi-directive interviews. The interviews suggested that there are four main outsourcing benefits and three main outsourcing risks. Secondly, we performed a quantitative analysis to examine the impact of the risks and benefits on actual outsourcing behaviors. The results suggest that perceived benefits increase the outsourcing likelihood. On the other hand, perceived risks do not seem to have any clear impact on the outsourcing likelihood.
