Abstract
Study of the legal problem posed by the practice of the search engines on internet as regards patronymic names. Can a search engine refer the name of an individual without the agreement of the latter, and thus give information on its private or professional life last (old star of film “X”). It would seem that the protection of the private life defined by article 9 of the civil code is opposed to it, and that a right to the lapse of memory should be recognized with any alive individual.
