Abstract
The Promotion of the Interests of French Enterprises in the European Union Business enterprises have had to adapt to a globalized environment, characterized by the opening of markets and increasingly harsh competition in the framework of multi-level regulation and governance: the WTO, the European Union, the state. This article attempts to evaluate the extent of the influence of French businesses in Brussels, a new center of power. It is much more than simply getting beyond the usual perception of a supposed French structural handicap. It is necessary to function effectively in Brussels using existing structures such as the Parliamentary Representation, an extension of General Secretariat of European Affairs, and our embassy to the European Union. The French presidency should be the occasion to give a new political impetus in this direction and to conceive of an overall public/private strategy of influence that shapes the relations between the French business world and the state.
