Abstract
In this paper, I investigate the determinants of outsourcing success. Four determinants are studied: (1) closeness to the “core business”, (2) external uncertainty, (3) contractual quality and (4) relational quality. The results of the empirical study suggest that outsourcing success is primarily determined by the way vendors are managed.
