Abstract
The aim of this research consists in pointing out the ability of organizations to capitalize on their knowledge created in respect of the degree of transversality of their structure. The empirical analysis deals with Research and Development units. Paradoxically, the firms, which chose a horizontal structure to manage their R&D activity, seem to have a better ability to capitalize on knowledge developed during the projects.
