Abstract
In trying to understand the notion of “difficulties” among French managers, we noticed that the question of recognition was almost always present. For most of the managers, the lack of recognition was at the origin of real suffering, from solitude, a feeling of powerlessness and gradually of withdrawal, finally leading to a disengagement with regards to the company but also with regards to the surrounding world. This article aims to understand, through the analysis of the discourse of managers in difficulty, the dynamics which go from lack of recognition, to withdrawal, to renunciation of citizen behavior.
