This text aims at introducing the student to the theoretical approach in macroeconomic analysis. In its first part it insists on equilibrium comparative statics, bringing out in some detail the main properties of decentralized economic systems under perfect price flexibility. Keynesian macroeconomics are exposed with explicit reference to the French monetary institutions. The last part of the book focuses on the stylised facts related to unemployment and their contemporary theoretical interpretations.
