Abstract
This paper represents research in progress aimed at moving beyond classic expatriates to examine the success of expatriates in an inter-governmental organization (IGO). Based on the theoretical foundations of Person-Environment Fit and the boundaryless career perspective, we examine to what extent expatriates from an IGO experience successful assignments, using an individual and organizational perspective.
