The notion of implication has several meanings. A factor analysis of the Porter Scale (Porter, Steers, Mowday, and Boulion, 1974) shows two main dimensions (organizational identification and image of professionnalism). Relationships between individuals positions on these dimensions, professional characteristics, work attitude and agreement with commercial policies are established in a sample of 200 sales people belonging to a French public enterprise in the services sector.
