Abstract
Reengineering may cause suffering among most of the employees. Consultants must take this into consideration when they intervene within this kind of companies. I intend to show how a clinical approach, based on psycho-sociological and psychoanalytic theories allows a better comprehension of organizational dynamics (conflicts, blocakges, violence, silences…) but it mainly favors the understanding of this suffering by people themselves, and makes change easier. This communication reports an intervention which was a failure because the consultant did not pay enough attention to transference and counter-transference.
