Abstract
Overtime premium rules are often public rules aiming at protecting workers against exhausting working days and shifting incremental demand for labor services towards outsiders. Unregulated labor markets (UK) tend to show that firms may apply themselves such paying schemes. In this text, it is shown that such contracts may be viewed at least in some circumstances as substitutes for wage discrimination.
