Abstract
Effective data warehouse design requires a conceptual modeling phase. This paper describes a data warehouse design method based on the conceptual, logical and physical levels. The conceptual phase creates an UML model. The logical phase maps this model into a multidimensional one. The physical phase maps the multidimensional model into a database schema for ROLAP tool implementation. We present our method and apply it to a case study.
