Abstract
The Hermes myth (cf Homeric myths) is considered as inauthentic and without any kind of deep interest. But a precise investigation shows how deep and determining are the links that tie Apollo and Hermes , the first symbolizing the Philosopher or the Wise man, the second symbolizing trade or desire.
